Stockholm is a very beautiful city. The architecture and colors of the buildings are beautiful. But beware, it's very cold. You will tell me like everywhere in winter, think about getting dressed because you will stay a lot outside. In addition, I recommend Stockholm for a weekend of 2 or 3 days. You will have time to do everything you want and visit the main things.

There are some places I have visited :

Vasa Museum

The Vasa Museum is a museum with a huge (Viking style) boat inside of it.

Skansen

Skansen is an outside museum (zoo). You will find some little nordic houses and especially animals like otters, wolves, reindeer, etc.

Mall of Scandinavia

Want to do some shopping ? This shopping mall is perfect for you ! On many floors you should find you’re happiness.

Selma City SPA

This SPA is located in the hotel Clarion. You can access there even if you are not staying there. There is a sauna, a relaxation area and an outside swimming pool which is warmed up with a view of the city.

Quartier Gamla Stan

It’s a quarter in the old town in which you can walk around. You will also find some restaurants and little shops.

What about public transports ?

I advise you to take a card for 24/48/72h. So you will have the possibility to take buses, the metros and also some boats, during the entire time you chose. It is very convenient and if you have time to make a boat tour, I advise it to you because it is very beautiful. You will be able to move from island to island, because you have to know that Stockholm is a city which is spread over several islands.

If you need the metro map at anytime on your phone, you can download the app “Transit Map Stockholm SL”. You will also see that in Stockholm some metro stations are a bit special with different decoration.
