From the 9th to the 13th of April we flew to Mykonos. A dream destination, beautiful landscapes, good food, simply vacations and parties too (at least in summer, in April everything is still closed).

We arrived on the evening of April 9 around 18:30 at the airport of Mykonos. It's a very small airport with room for maybe 4-5 planes at the same time. The hotel was able to arrange transportation from the airport to the hotel. We were already able to enjoy a first glimpse of the island through the windows of our bus, with the colors of the golden hour on the hills and houses of the island.

Having arrived for dinner time, we took possession of our room, visited the surroundings of the hotel and ate at the hotel's restaurant. A hotel at the seaside, an arrival with a very agitated sea and a lot of wind. We are already charmed by the colors, the decoration and the Greek atmosphere of this beautiful corner of the island.

The next day, we spent a good part of the day by the pool of our hotel. The wind was still blowing but the pool, located between the hotel buildings, was sheltered from the wind. We were able to enjoy sunbathing even in April. The pool was a little too cold for swimming.

The setting is beautiful, really relaxing and this solution of pouf instead of deckchairs is very comfortable.

In the afternoon, we walked along the coast near our hotel to Scorpios which is located on the tip of the island. Scorpios is a corner of the island that is almost deserted during the off-season, but I heard that there is a restaurant and a beach club during the summer. You will see a lot of peacocks, it is quite funny and also scary.

A walk with an endless view of the sea. Small colored flowers to represent the spring, the first heat of summer, a gradation of blue, a rough sea. A magnificent landscape, relaxing and exotic.

In the evening, we went for the first time to Mykonos Town in the direction of the Old Port. There you will find lots of small streets with stores and several restaurants next to each other on the seafront.

On the third day, we wanted to go back to the pool in the morning, but the wind was blowing in a different direction and the pool was no longer protected from the wind. The weather was a bit cloudy and it was a bit cold.

So we decided to go and visit the town of Mykonos a bit more. All the trips we made were by cab, as we were only 10 minutes away from the city by car, the hotel could call the cabs.

From the bus/taxi stop "Fabrica", we let ourselves be carried away in the alleys of Mykonos. To Noam's delight, we met many cats. In Mykonos, as in Greece in general, there are often a lot of cats (abandoned?) wandering around in the alleys. Not knowing where they come from, I advise you not to touch them too much or at least to wash your hands well afterwards.

We arrived at the Windmills which are also part of the things to see on the island.

Then, we walked through the lovely streets of the city, with their white houses and blue blinds or other pastel colors, totally in the atmosphere of Greece compared to other islands of the country.

Despite the windy weather, we stayed for dinner in the city, in the Little Venice area, and enjoyed an incredible sunset from our restaurant seat.

Our last full day, we enjoyed the sun, the nice weather and the hotel. Enjoying around the beach and the pool of the Petinos Beach Hotel.

At the end of the day, we wandered around to find a restaurant without having to go into town.

The last day we left early so we didn't have time to enjoy the island.

I love Greece, this stay in Mykonos, although it was short, was really relaxing and a good way to disconnect. There is only one thing left to do, book your ticket!

Tip: if you are looking for a quiet vacation, you can visit Mykonos out of season (approx. October to May). If you are looking for a party in the sun, this is the right destination in summer.

I must say that we were pleasantly surprised by the kindness of the Greek people, both in the hotel and in the restaurants, we were always very well received and served.
