I went to the United States from August to November. During these few months I followed 7 weeks of English classes in Los Angeles. For those that are interested, I was in EC Los Angeles School. (Https://www.ecenglish.com/). Having only half days of classes, I had the opportunity to visit and discover this city.
Personally, I loved this city, the Californian weather is so good mentally. It is always nice and I assure you that the sun has a very positive influence on your mood! In Los Angeles you can go to the beach, visit the city, walk around and do museums. If you want to discover several places to accomplish your American dream, I tell you everything!

What can we do or see in Los Angeles ?
Venice Beach
Pacific Ave & Windward Ave, Venice, CA 90291
Venice Beach is LA's most popular beach. If you are going on vacation to Los Angeles you have to go at least once there.
The atmosphere is unique, it's very entertaining and different from all the rest of the city. There are a lot of people walking around or going to tan in Venice Beach, some of them are pretty special. In several corners of this beach, there are people who make small shows to earn money. You will also find a lot of little t-shirts shops, souvenirs, sunglasses, tattoo, etc. It is very different and very out of any range. The atmosphere is nice and you have to go for a walk to see how it is. There is also the famous Skate Park.

Venice Canals
Venice, Californie 90292, États-Unis
If you are looking for a quieter place to chill with your friends or family, you should go to the Venice Canals. This is about 10 minutes walk from Venice Beach.
The houses at the water's edge are pretty and the place is really beautiful. We do not really feel in Los Angeles. This city where so much happens every day. I even heard some students from my school, I think a little to laugh, say that when they would be rich and old, they would come to live in one of these houses. It is true that there is worse places for its retirement.

Manhattan Beach
Manhattan Beach, Californie 90266, États-Unis
Manhattan Beach is a beautiful and huge sandy beach that stretches for many miles. The first time I went there was a Volleyball Championship and the atmosphere was great! We could go watch the matches and there were also stands with drinks, swimsuits and so on. The rest of the time, you can of course enjoying or sunbathing at the seaside.

Santa Monica
3rd Street Promenade
It is a pedestrian street with lots of shops (clothes, shoes, ... but no souvenirs), bars and restaurants. The lights and trees give a nice appearance to this street. Very nice to walk with family or friends. There, too, there are often people who come to show their talents; singers, dancers, magicians, etc.

Santa Monica Pier
Santa Monica Pier is well known, this is the famous pier with the little amusement park on it. This place is also cool to be with your friends. Personally, I think it's better at night because it looks good with the lights of the rides. The attractions are more made for children but you can go anyway !
Go there for sunset. It's so beautiful by the sea!

Malibu
Malibu Pier
23000 Malibu Pier, Malibu, CA 90265
I adooooore Malibu, it's a really beautiful place! I first went on the bridge, there is nothing special except a small souvenir shop and a small restaurant. It's a bit the perfect place to have a "date" haha, with the ocean view and the atmosphere being rather quiet. Then we walked by the sea to see the "Lagoon" next door.

El matador beach
32350 Pacific Coast Hwy, Malibu, CA 90265
This is what you must see absolutely! El Matador Beach. It's so beautiful ! You can take beautiful pictures. Besides there are many professionals who come on this beach to do some shootings.

Beverly Hills
Beverly Hills is LA's wealthy neighborhood but it's very beautiful. You must go there at least once to walk around.
Of course, the stores, you just look at the windows. After all depends on your budget but personally I felt like I lost $100 without even going into the shops.

Hollywood sign
The Hollywood Sign is a bit of Los Angeles emblem, you have to go see it if you go there. There are different ways to go see it. One of the best known places to take photos is Lake Hollywood Park. 3160 Canyon Lake Dr, Los Angeles, CA 90068 . You can also take a walk to go over the sign. It lasts about an hour. If you go with friends it's funny!
I tell you my story, when me and my friends went up, we got to the top and it started to rain (please rain in Los Angeles, it never rains and worse during the walk it was sunny). It rained only 5 min but enough to be soaked for pictures. But hey, it gives us a story to tell and we still laughed.

Abbot Kinney
I also recommend this street to walk around or go to a restaurant quietly with your friends. There are also some colorful walls where you can take pictures too.

Melrose Avenue
I love this street! You can imagine, to make photos it's great! You can do all kinds of things. Pretty, funny, original following the drawings that are on the walls. Like the wings for example, you have certainly already seen photos with the famous wings of the artist Colette Miller. You can find them at Melrose Avenue and also in many places in the city.
I find that this avenue puts a good mood with these colorful walls, these shops and of course the sun that is always present.

The Grove
189 The Grove Dr, Los Angeles, CA 90036
The Grove is an open air mall. It looks like a neighborhood, because it really looks like a small village. You will find lots of shops and restaurants.

Skyspace
633 W 5th St #840, Los Angeles, CA 90071
Skyspace is in downtown Los Angeles.
If you want to enjoy a view of the city, you can visit Skyspace. From the top of the tower, you have the opportunity to make a small ride on a transparent slide that is in the void. You will also find wings painted by artist Colette Miller.
At sunset, it's really beautiful and appreciable!

Skyzone
7741 Hayvenhurst Ave, Van Nuys, CA 91406
Looking for a place to have fun with your friends? This is Skyzone. It's a park with trampolines everywhere. It's fun but there are a lot of kids who have, I think, had more fun than us. It's a fun place but an hour is enough and it's not the first activity I recommend. It would be more if you stay a long time in LA and you do not really know what to do during an afternoon.
Downtown Los Angeles
In downtown Los Angeles, there are lots of bars and restaurants but if you are not 21 there is not much to do.
We still managed to get into the rooftop bar "Spire 73" in the intercontinental hotel, it is the highest open air bar of L.A. with a magnificent night view. We went on a weekday, so maybe they did not check the ID at the entrance, but of course we could not order alcohol .
Another activity that you might be able to do is buy a ticket for a basketball game to see the Los Angeles Lakers at Staples Center.
Skydiving Perris
2091 Goetz Rd, Perris, CA 92570 WEBSITE: http://skydiveperris.com/
Skydiving has been one of the craziest and most awesome experiences of my life so far! I LOVE IT! IT'S SO CRAZY & AMAZING! This is an activity that I recommend especially if you feel like it. Do not hesitate, if you have the opportunity to do so do not wait! I went with two friends I met in my school, we were so happy that we did it.
We went to Perris a town which is about a 2 hours drive from Los Angeles. It seems a bit far but it's really worth it. In addition, the staff is very welcoming and very friendly.
Check out the video.

1iota
If you want to do things a bit different from what you usually do when you visit a city I suggest you visit the 1iota website (https://1iota.com/). This site allows you to win free tickets for certain events such as small shows, Ellen Show, The Voice etc.
I had the chance to win tickets for The Voice. It was really interesting to see how a show goes from the public and not from the TV. I still prefer at home, it's less long and there is more music.
Famous People
As you know, in Los Angeles there are a lot of stars. If you open your eyes, you may have the chance to interbreed some of them. During my first week in LA, my friends and I went to a small vintage market in Fairfax (towards Melrose Avenue) and we ran into Jaden Smith shopping with his girlfriend. Of course, his bodyguard was nearby, but it's always funny to see an actor in real life.

This is not my picture because I only had a video snapchat but it was exactly that day and there. Open your eyes when you see paparazzis that's how we found him.
