On our way to Vegas, we drove through the Zion National Park like I was explaining in the National Parks post.

The most interesting part of the city is the “Strip”, the huge main street where everything is happening. The biggest hotels, casinos and shopping centers are located on this street.

Las Vegas is a very impressive, with all those lights, huge casinos and hotels with representation of other cities in the entire world. And of course it is located in the desert in the middle of nowhere.

I think that if you are not 21 years old, it is not worth it to stay there more than one or two days because during the day there is not much to do. Besides the big hotels which are organizing pool parties and other parties that are not reachable for underages.

We booked a hotel with a casino really near the strip but we couldn’t stay there because we were both underage. I swear to you that after hours of driving you really don’t want to look for a new hotel. So don’t forget to check you’re booking terms before booking.

From there, you have the possibility to drive to the Grand Canyon West. It is about 2h hours far ! During our way back, we made a stop at an Outlet Shopping Mall called “Fashion Outlet Mall” (around 40 minutes from Las Vegas).

Little trick : 5200 Las Vegas Blvd, South Paradise, Nevada, 89119 , at this address you will find the famous “Welcome to Las Vegas” sign. We have been there a couple of days after the Las Vegas attack so the ambience was strange and sad around the sign.
